Feature Writing Specialist Brandy Campbell has been told that her writing is so powerful it can make grown men cry. With seven years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in English and communication arts, Brandy offers moving copy that open hearts and minds. “I love telling stories, especially about how children in our program are making a difference in their communities, country and world,” she says. “I believe humans respond to storytelling, and it is my privilege to tell such incredible stories.”

Before coming to Compassion in May 2006, Brandy served as a writer at Hannibal-LaGrange College and LifeWay Christian Resources. Her main role on Creative Blue’s team is to inform sponsors and donors through engaging stories that illustrate Compassion’s programs.

“The most important thing I want clients to know is I love to write,” says Brandy. “Send me your ideas, your fragments, your frustrations, and I will turn them into stories. It’s what I love!”
When Brandy is not busy writing, she loves to spend time cooking or hiking. One of her favorite humorous quotes is from Anne Lamott: “We are a species that needs and wants to understand who we are. Sheep lice do not seem to share this longing, which is one reason why they write so little.”
